The Carriage House is surrounded by Salamonie State Property & borders the Salamonie Reservoir! The Carriage House shares approx five (5) acres with our residence. This space has loads of "rustic charm" however, the modern amenities will keep you comfortable! Whether you're horseback riding, fishing, boating, hiking, biking on the Wabash County Trail, seeing a show at the Honeywell Center, visiting Historic Downtown Wabash or just to get away, the Carriage House is awaiting your arrival! The Carriage House is located on the second floor of our converted barn. There is a staircase to get into the Carriage House as well as an additional staircase to access the bedrooms, see photo's. Our barn is home to horses, a mischievous cat named Tiger and the occasional pigeon's that come to visit. Your space however, is just for you! The Carriage House is equipped with WIFI so bring your own devices to access. The spare bedroom has a TV with a DIRECTV receiver. We have a large gravel driveway that provides plenty of parking during your stay. The West Central Neighborhood encompasses all of downtown west of Calhoun Street, the heart of West Central is its urban residential area, the development of which began as early as the 1830s. Amazing lake sunsets, water play, and relaxation in this fantastic house! Beautiful historic 1903 lake cottage that was completely renovated and expanded in 2015. Fantastic sunsets from the porch, decks, or pier on Sunset Point on the Island in Winona Lake, an all-sports lake with great fishing, too! Kayaks and bikes at the property. Bring your own water toys or boat and tie-up at our dock. Swim off the dock or go to the town beach, splash pad, and park which is only walking distance. Use the bikes on the great trails through the Boys Club. Excellent mountain bike trails there, too! Two excellent golf courses only 5 minutes away. Wonderful restaurants and coffee just two blocks walking distance. Off-street parking. Outdoor fire pit and charcoal grill on the patio overlooking the lake. Absolutely stunning master suite with loft ceiling, large jacuzzi tub with walk-in shower. Toilette also equipped with a bidet. Hot tub on the master deck. Cathedral guest room has private balcony and bistro set for enjoying “couple time”. Old master bedroom has bay window and seating area for two and tastefully decorated with antiques. Downstairs couch pulls out into a bed for two for the adventuresome and the studio room set up with bunks beds for extra sleeping arraignments. Relax by the lake, play on the water, stroll or bike on the Island, enjoy the park and splash pad, enjoy home cooking and barbecue with the fully stocked kitchen, or dine at wonderful nearby restaurants, watch amazing sunsets, and make memories that will last a lifetime!
